Multi Skilled Driver Guide / Balloon Crew ( Hot Air Balloon )

Hot Air Balloon Cairns are looking for someone who wants variety in their day to day, enjoys working with our customers & willing to learn both the roles of our Driver/Guide and Balloon Crew.
Day to day responsibilities:
Driving/Guiding:
- You will commence your shift in our depot in Cairns at approximately 3:15am.
- Pre-start one our companies bus fleet (mostly automatic Mitsubishi Rosa 24 seaters)
- Meet & Greet our passengers through pickups around Cairns, northern beaches & Port Douglas using our companies app
- Complete a safety briefing & explain the tour
- Drive our passengers to meet the Pilot & Crew at the launch site
- Assist in loading & unloading of passengers
- Assist Pilot & crew in balloon packup with the aid of volunteer passengers.
- Take payments using our companies app
- Complete drop offs of our passengers to their hotels or to meet other tours.
Balloon Crew
- Commence your shift at our hangar in Mareeba at approximately 4:25am
- Pre-start our companies vehicle & balloon trailer
- Assist pilot in conducting flight operations including piballs, balloon inflation, loading gas tanks and packup.
- Work with the driver to prepare passengers for flight
- Post operational checking including refuelling of vehicles & gas tanks.
Mandatory requirements for applicants:
- Minimum Light Rigid (LR) licence, mandatory
- Driver Authority (GENR), current or applied
- Experience towing tailors
- Must be able to pass a drug & alcohol test
- Must be able to work in Australia
- This is a casual role which requires the successful applicant to be available over a 7-day roster, including weekends.
Experience desirable:
- Multi-lingual applicants encouraged to apply
- Tourism or Hospitality experience beneficial
Starting renumeration is $24.89 per hour and increased based on experience working with us.
Uniforms & breakfast are provided. Immediate start for successful applicants.
