The Position:
Full time
Morning shift 5:00 am – 2:00 pm overtime as needed (start times can be earlier when needed)
Flexible start date
Driving six metre tray truck
Victoria wide delivery route with some regional drives required
Loading and unloading truck as needed (delivering rainwater goods on site)
General warehouse/labour duties, assisting other staff and management as required
Required skills and experience:
Current MR licence
Current Australian drivers licence
Forklift licence
Min 2 years experience driving MR trucks in a similar role
Able to drive manual trucks
Clean driving record and awareness of road safety and safe driving practices
Physically fit and energised
Reliable and committed to appointed shifts
Able to operate unsupervised and complete deliveries in a timely fashion
Must own reliable mode of transport, available at all times for travel to and from work
Friendly and approachable – must be easy to get along with and willing to go above and beyond.
Highly regarded skills and experience:
5 years as a morning delivery driver
Good knowledge of Melbourne and regional Victoria
Experience communicating with customers and senior staff
Sheet metal and/or construction industry experience
Proven ability to go above and beyond minimum job requirements
Enthusiasm and a desire to contribute
Training
The successful candidate will be an experienced driver. Given the nature of this role, minimal training will be provided after orientation (1 week) in regard to driving. Sheet metal fabrication training and material handling safety training will be provided.
Remuneration:
Competitive rates. Experience dependant and open for negotiation super overtime.
