JSS Logistics is a fast growing Karratha & Perth based Transport Company. We are seeking a dedicated, reliable yard hand to join our workshop team at our Pilbara Branch.
JSS Logistics is a fast growing Karratha & Perth based Transport Company. We are seeking a dedicated, reliable yard hand to join our workshop team at our Pilbara Branch.
Your responsibilities as the Yard Hand will include, but will not be limited to:
- Assist with hooking and unhooking road trains in the depot
- Assist with restraining loads
- Keeping the yard tidy in a safe practical manner
- Receiving of goods delivered into yard
- Labelling of general freight on arrival into the depot if required
- Parts collection from suppliers for workshop Mechanics
- Washing of trucks, trailers and dolly’s as required
- Assisting with fitting / repairing truck / trailer tyres
- Adhoc duties as directed
Ideally, the successful candidate must possess the following:
- Current Western Australian Drivers Licence with transport to and from work
- Current Forklift ticket with a minimum 2 years recent operating experience
- Be physically fit and able to work in extreme conditions during summer
- Australian working rights
- Excellent work ethic combined
- Possess a positive, can-do attitude, be flexible and be able to think on your feet
Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in random oral swab & daily breath testing within the branch
