A full-time position for a field staff member focused on logistics for a busy vegetable farming and processing business based near Toowoomba. The role involves:
daily harvest consolidation;
truck loading and unloading;
transfers between the field and shed;
transfer of product from the production farm to the factory at Cambooya; and
farm equipment transfers between the three production sites.
A current HC and forklift license is essential. A high level of proficiency in forklift operation is required. Prior experience in refrigerated transport and wide loads is preferred. This position works closely with the Field Production Manager to co-ordinate and effect the timely movement of supplies and product on a daily basis. Good communication and literacy skills are needed as well as the ability to support management to ensure the field production operates efficiently and meets the timeframes of the daily production workplan. The work environment is dynamic, fast moving and operates to timelines that are synchronised with the factory's daily schedule.
Routinely this is a Monday to Friday daytime position with an occasional weekend contribution. Early starts are necessary in summer due to the nature of the salad vegetables produced. A good level of physical fitness is necessary and own reliable transport essential. Immediate start is available. Above award rates apply according to experience and skill base.
