An excellent opportunity for a full time MC licenced Truck Driver now exists located on the doorstep of Goondiwindi.
A thriving local border township situated in prime Australian farming country and within a wonderful rural community servicing the wider southern agricultural sector. My client, a privately owned broadacre cropping and irrigation enterprise consists of properties both sides of Goondiwindi with this position being based on the New South Wales side of the McIntyre River – being only a 15-minute commute back to town.
Encompassing a dryland and irrigation crop rotation program of wheat, barley, sorghum, chickpea and cotton, the end-to-end farming company offers variety to their employees across all areas of the crop production process. Machinery is modern, consisting of tractors, headers, self-propelled spray rigs, a Kenworth T650 truck with Robuk A Double Tippers and a fleet of generalised lighter plant. The machinery is extremely well maintained and fitted with GreenStar GPS technology.
Driving the company’s Kenworth T650 truck with Robuk A Double Tippers, transport of grain, cotton and general freight will be required on the property and between the on-farm storage facilities, locally and return to Brisbane as required.
Essentially, the Truck Driver MUST:
• Have an MC Licence with and previous driving experience – agricultural work will be viewed favourably.
• Have the ability to commit to a full time, permanent position.
• Present with a good driving record.
• Provide a resume outlining previous positions held.
• Provide references relevant to prior truck driving positions held.
My client offers a very flexible and negotiable approach when it comes to wages, rosters and accommodation requirements. Suitable family accommodation on farm is available with access to a local school bus run from the gate.
REMUNERATION: Competitive and negotiable upon application depending on prior experience.
