Newpave Asphalt is a dynamic and growing asphalt paving company operating in Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Central Coast, and surrounding regions. We are seeking experienced HC drivers for an ongoing role based in Tomago. Initially this will be a casual position, with regular overtime (including night working and weekend work) available.
Description
The role of the asphalt truck driver is varied, but the key responsibilities and duties will include (and not be limited to):
- Performing daily prestart checks and refuelling trucks
- Ensuring adherence to quality/safety/environmental compliance processes
- Collecting millings from road profilers “under the mill”
- Delivering asphalt to job sites
- Cleaning trucks
- Assisting plant staff with other duties at the asphalt plant
Profile
As an ideal candidate you will likely have had previous experience in driving asphalt trucks. It is also likely you will possess most if not all the following qualities:
- Hard working, reliable and punctual
- Drivers licence and own reliable transport
- Construction induction card (white card)
- Able to pass pre-employment and regular random drug and alcohol screening
