South West Freight is a values-based transport and logistics operators located in Mount Gambier.
We provide local and interstate transport services to our customers linking them to Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, and all over the Limestone Coast.
This is an opportunity to commence a career in Road Transport Operations, learning how we do things from the ground up. To be successful you will have a high standard of customer service, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise in a fast-changing work environment.
The role is a mix of office and outside work. We will provide “hands on” training on how freight is moved along with forklift and light truck licensing.
About the role
The position is part of the operations office team with responsibility for:
- Answering incoming call and emails
- Customers service enquiries
- Processing paperwork
- Data entry and filing
- Assisting with general operation functions
- Assisting with yard work and organisation as required
We are seeking an individual demonstrating
- Reliability and a willingness to develop their knowledge and skills
- Sound computer skid – MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- An ability to maintain positive and constructive working relationships
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A genuine interest in the Transport Industry
