We are currently seeking suitable candidates to fulfil the following positions: Farmhand All Rounders, MC Truck Drivers and Cotton Harvest Crew Members
Keeley Ag is a family operated farming and contracting enterprise with over 30 years’ experience in the industry. Furthermore, we require a strong team of valued employees to accomplish our high demand of harvest and transport work throughout Queensland and New South Wales.
We are currently seeking suitable candidates to fulfil the following positions:
- Farmhand All Rounders
- MC Truck Drivers
- Cotton Harvest Crew Members
Farmhand All Rounders
Working alongside your supervisor, you will be asked to complete a wide range of tasks from operating a variety of different machinery and working effectively to reach the high demand of our grain and cotton production.
To be considered for this role, you MUST demonstrate the following:
- Previous row cropping/irrigation and broad acre experience.
- Be highly capable within general farm labour and committing to necessary hours (this will include working a weekend when asked).
- Previous machinery experience with large frame tractors (above 250 horsepower), 12 metre row cropping implements, large groundwork implements and front-end loaders.
- Be prepared to work either individually or within a team to complete certain tasks.
- Maintain a positive attitude throughout whatever job is allocated to you.
- GPS knowledge preferred but not essential.
- Trade qualifications (diesel fitting/boiler making) or knowledge in these fields are highly considered
- Hold a current/valid driver’s licence.
This role may lead to a permanent position for the appropriate candidate. Please keep in mind that you need to be physically fit and prepared to travel between our three farms when asked by your supervisor. Wage decided upon experience.
MC Truck Drivers
We are looking for dedicated MC drivers to join our team in preparation for the upcoming 2021 carting season. This role will commence in the central highlands to assist with local work and preparing for cotton cartage. We will be kicking off the cotton season in Central Queensland, following onto St George and then Southern NSW until approximately end of June/July 2020.
To be considered for this role, you MUST demonstrate the following:
- Hold a current/valid MC truck driver’s licence.
- Previous grain tipper and/or cotton cartage knowledge an advantage
- Mechanical knowledge of general routine maintenance preferred.
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out neatly and correctly.
- Work appropriately and efficiently with all team members.
This position could lead into a permanent position for the right candidate. Wage decided upon experience.
Cotton Harvest Crew Members
We will be commencing the 2021 Cotton harvest around early-March in Central QLD and relocating to Southern NSW further in the season until approximately end of June/July 2020.
To be considered for this role, you MUST be able to:
- Demonstrate previous skills/knowledge on a John Deere CP690 Cotton Picker OR
- Previous experience operating tractors (above 250HP) in an agricultural based environment.
- Work effectively and fairly with fellow team members.
- Be prepared to handle long/continuous hours.
- Show a sound level of mechanical skills.
- Hold a valid/current driver’s licence (an industry authority pilot/escort licence is a great advantage)
