Established Dangerous Goods Transport Company looking for an experienced MC Driver
Our expanding company is looking for an experienced MC (B Double) long distance driver, based out of our Tamworth Depot. The role is responsible for the timely, accurate and safe delivery of hazardous bulk cryogenics to various locations across Australia. Our company adheres to the NHVR Heavy Vehicle Legislation and we pride ourselves on excellent staff retention rates. Successful candidate must have:
- Valid MC licence, with full license history
- Current DG licence
- MSIC Card (desirable)
- Credible references
The position is suitable for an experienced driver who is prepared to share responsibility on a predominantly 3-days on, 3-days off basis. Responsibilities:
- Provide Excellent Customer Service – Have a 'can do' attitude
- Fleet Maintenance – Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance, and ensuring the vehicle receives regular services, under NHVAS Maintenance Management
- Documentation – National Driver Diary completion, monitoring work/rest periods, iPad-based form completion
- Comply with National Heavy Vehicle Regulator legislation, Australian Dangerous Goods Code of Practice as well as with Company policies and procedures
- Delivery – Adhere to delivery requirements and reporting of deliveries made
- Report defects, accidents or violations
