MC Cattle and Grain Truck Driver – Permanent, Full Time-19125 ( Ritchie Consulting Group )

The Business:

• Well established, expanding grain and cattle enterprise based in Meandarra.
• Family based cattle property with a family orientated, small supportive team of six full time staff members.

The Role:

This position will involve delivering grain and cattle (Road Train) to various locations. Time outside the truck will involve operating a variety of farm machinery and doing general farm duties as well as maintaining a variety of farm machinery in a well appointed workshop with service pit. 

• Transporting cattle, commodities and various machinery to and from the farm.
• Maintaining farm machinery both mechanically and aesthetically. The staff work hard to ensure our machinery is in good working order.
• Operation of various farm machinery.
• General farm labour.

The Successful Applicant:

This position will suit someone/a family who enjoys farming and rural living, and is/are prepared to join our farming family.

• MC license with driving experience.
• Cattle carrying experience.
• Honest, reliable self-starter, able to work as part of a team or autonomously.
• Willingness to learn agricultural practices and operation of farm machinery.
• Strong communication skills.
• Healthy, strong and fit. 
• Must be able to pass a full medical, drug and alcohol.
• Must be able to pass a national criminal check.

• Remuneration package will be an hourly rate which will be dependent on qualifications and experience, with a guaranteed 80 hour fortnight.
