The group has a fleet of over 110 B-double prime movers, fleet of over 300 trailers and 22,000 sqm of warehousing. GTS has a strong reputation in the transport industry due to its focus on customer service, safety and compliance.
Due to ongoing expansion a new role has become available within the allocations team. Servicing local logistics and warehouse management within our SA Operations based at Edinburgh Parks.
The primary aim of this role is to maximise the utilisation of the local fleet in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner, and to develop and enhance customer relationships.
Duties will include but not limited to;
- Managing all local fleet allocations
- Daily Planning and Scheduling
- Ensure all allocations and dispatch operations are performed at the highest service levels, observing Fatigue Management and weight configuration regulations.
- Managing customer expectations
- Understanding customer needs and being proactive in meeting current and future requirements.
- Warehouse stock allocation and management.
- Coaching, mentoring and performance managing the local team to maximise team output.
To be successful in the role you will possess the following attributes;
- Sound Fleet/Allocating experience
- Ability to plan and schedule operations
- Thorough understanding of COR – load restraint, weight limits, breaks and fatigue
- An understanding of WH&S policies and legislative requirements.
- Computer literacy.
- People Management.
- Ability to work independently
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
