Coastal Transport Services Sydney Depot is based at Wetherill Park. Coastal has been operating for 30 years as a family business which has grown extensively over the last few years.
At present we have employment opportunities for a Casual HC Driver within our Warnervale Depot.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
-Carrying General Freight and Pre Cast Concrete panels.
-Use of flat top, step deck and tautliner trailers, occasional over dimension loads.
-Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centres.
-Daily inspection of vehicles.
-Meeting delivery schedules.
-Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
-Collect and verify delivery instructions.
-Report defects, accidents or violations.
-Communicate effectively and professionally with customers.
Skills and Experience
-Unrestricted Heavy Combination (HC) Driver license.
-Dog/chain experience.
-White Card preferred.
-Ability to drive both manual and automatic gearbox.
-Proven work experience as a truck driver.
-Working knowledge of COR.
-The ability to obtain a satisfactory criminal history check and successfully complete a full medical including a drug and alcohol test.
-Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
-No serious recent moving or driving violations.
-Ability to supply a copy of driving record.
-Excellent work ethic, passionate about getting your job done safely and efficiently.
-Organised and proactive in problem resolution.
-Able to supply at least two references.
