We are looking for experienced HC drivers (minimum two years) to operate automatic semi's with live bottom trailers (no un-hooking, no getting covered in grease, no tipping) carting asphalt and/or raw materials day and night. Basically you will be rocking up to our yard in Pakenham, jumping in a truck, driving to the asphalt plant in Dandenong going under the plant to be loaded, then drive to the (sometimes cranky) road crews to back up to a paver, push a couple buttons, dust off the back and off you go again.
Every day is different and interesting and most of our crew stick with us for the duration unless they are those ‘itchy-feet’ kind of drivers but they are always sorry when they leave.
This is classified currently as casual but you will be working a minimum of 38 hours a week (weather permitting) plus receive overtime and superannuation until end of June 2020 with the distinct possibility of the positions becoming permanent. You will be part of a super friendly team (that enjoys freshly baked cupcakes every Wednesday just 'cause that's what we're like) and a bunch of fun stuff that happens for the Christmas break-up.
Daytime rates are $30/hour ($40/hour after 10 hours), night time rates are $40/hour. Join a great, friendly team. You must have a clean driving record and provide two references to apply.
