About The Role:
Southern Pacific Sands are Queensland’s leading material supplier of silica sand products operating within the construction industry. Over the last 25 years, they have established themselves as a reputable and successful wholesaler supplier and have recently launched a new and successful product line of concrete.
Southern Pacific Sands are looking to welcome experienced 4 new HC Truck and Dog Drivers to join their Ningi operation, near Bribie Island.
Your Key Responsibilities:
As a Truck and Dog Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate operation standards are met at all times. You will be reporting directly to the Transport Manager. Other responsibilities will include:
- Driving a Truck and Dog to collect and deliver sand & soil products to customers.
- Ensure work is undertaken in an efficient and professional manner.
- Attending pre-starts, to ensure the safe operation of all Trucks.
- Completing other operational checklists and paperwork as required.
- Adhering to all statutory and regulatory operating conditions, including fatigue management and other road rules.
- Attend to the cleaning of the vehicle.
About You:
- Proven experience operating a HC Truck and Dog, Heavy-Combination Truck, or Multi-Combination Truck.
- Experience working with sands, gravels or similar materials will be highly regarded.
- HC License required as a minimum. Evidence of a clean driving record. MC License holders are also encouraged to apply.
- Ability to drive a manual truck.
- Have the ability to work on a Saturday if required, not regularly.
- Good knowledge and experience of best practices in road transport operations.
- Sound knowledge of the metropolitan area and surrounding suburbs of Brisbane.
- Knowledge of fatigue management compliance. Completion of an FMP will be highly regarded.
- Fantastic customer service and communication skills.
- Candidates with other tickets would be bonus but not essential (loader, dump truck etc).
