HC DRIVER ( Paddo and Sons Transport Pty Ltd )

Paddo and Sons Transport is a Brisbane based logistics service provider.

We are currently seeking a permanent full-time skilled and experienced semi-trailer driver with an unrestricted HC license to assist in our expanding operations. Driver must reside Brisbane Northside.

REQUIREMENTS OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE

• Drive allocated heavy combination vehicle in a safe and timely manner
• Undertake vehicle inspections before each shift in line with the Company’s procedures and complete required documentation
• Maintaining regular condition reports for vehicles, carefully documenting any damages
• Notify supervisors of any vehicle maintenance requirements, including reporting any damage or break down issues with the vehicles
• Always maintain vehicles in a clean and tidy state
• Maintain a clear driving record and keep abreast with all current road rules
• Update logbooks and run sheets at the end of each day/run as per the advised format
• Notify management of any discrepancies with transport runs or time frames
• Load, unload and secure goods inside the vehicles
• Liaise with customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Work professionally and cohesively with other team members
• Willing to stay overnight in truck when required
• Challenging role with early starts and a busy workload

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

• Minimum 2 years’ experience driving HC trucks with a clean driving record
• Experience with load restraint and carting of Plasterboard and Plaster products
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual labouring duties if required
• Current Forklift Licence
• Willing to provide a police check and undergo random drug testing
• Professional with a great attitude and strong work ethic; good verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable, punctual and self-motivated with strong commitment to responsibilities; sound time management skills
• Excellent at following instruction and directives; safety minded and compliant with Company policies
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team; flexible & adaptive to change whilst working in a team
• Customer service orientated with great attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Able to complete all necessary documentation (such as Work Diaries and day sheets)

• Position is Monday to Friday and weekly salary based
