About us:
Workit Spaces is a fast-growing Australian startup providing a ‘one stop shop’ solution for small-medium online businesses. We have two ‘co-working hubs’ in Alexandria where small businesses can store, pick and pack their products ready for shipping. We then offer them the option for same day delivery service to their customers….and this is where this job role comes in! Once our unique small businesses have sold to their customers, we will help their products get from A to B.
As a startup you will work closely with us to support these small companies as they grow and help their future success.
About the role:
Shifts are available Mon-Fri every week, between 5-8 hours per shift. This is a casual role so we will let you know what shifts are available and you can choose to take part time or full time. We are particularly busy on Monday’s, Friday’s and holidays such as Valentines day and mothers day.
You will meet at the Alexandria hub, collect the boxes and then follow the provided route (on our app) to drop off each box. We aim to provide a route that ends near your home location where possible.
The rate of pay is $30-$35 per hour (depending on the size of your vehicle). This is an all inclusive contractor rate (includes GST, you provide vehicle, fuel, insurance etc)
We also offer a performance bonus of 20% where deliveries are on time and with no issues.
Payment is weekly via a timesheet.
You will need:
- Your own ABN
- Your own vehicle (the bigger the better – unfortunately you won’t be able to fit all the boxes in a small car so it will need to be a van, sudan, SUV, 4WD, large car etc.).
- A smartphone
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid car insurance
- *Please note there may be some lifting of medium weight boxes*
Ideally you will:
- Have some experience with doing deliveries, or other roles that require long hours on the road.
- Have strong customer service skills, both in-person and over the phone
- Have the ability to solve problems proactively
- Have a track record of being a reliable professional
