About Me:

good morning, have worked in the transport industry my whole life , have had experience with crane trucks a family business for 26 years, managed transport depots , have done interstate work in a semi and have done change overs, the last 4 years have had a role that was office based as a operations manager and also most current , national line haul manager, i am looking to do a casual / adhoc role a couple of days a week doing straight throughs or change overs, in my role as national linehaul manager i am well up to date with OHS and NHVR rule and regulations. i am looking for one of or short notice work, i would prefer semi work hc, i am very safety conscious.

    Depot Manager: Receivership Management of Melbourne depot for interstate transport company that provides warehousing, distribution. Main Responsibilities - Effectively co-ordinate freight handling of the company's fleet of B-Doubles and an average of 15 containers per week. - Management of 20 route drivers coming through the depot daily as well as sub-contractors, employees, and third-party service providers. - Management of tenants warehousing including all freight in and out. Relationship Management - Regular customer communication, meet and exceed expectations by communicating customer needs to all stakeholders, providing, updates and checking on stock levels, safety requirements and ensuring a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. - Meet with customers to discuss planning and expectations for seasonal products, production planning, delivery times, storage requirements of perishable goods and time slot. Planning and Reporting - Review, monitor and check for accuracy of all consignment notes, and P.O.D. to ensure accurate and timely billing. - Conduct time and motion studies and report on findings to senior management team. - Daily reports to senior management team on freight movements, customer planning, staff attrition rates, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). - Report, plan and communicate load maximisation, and load allocations using Translogix transport management software. Fleet Efficiency and Optimisation - Route Management and optimisation - manage, monitor, and audit delivery/pickup times. - Receive reports of an average of 15 incoming containers via freight management system requiring unpacking and storage. Forward planning, allocation, and time slotting of container receipt to maximise available use of resources with consideration of other customers' requirements. Safety and Compliance - Implementation of safety procedures to address traffic management through depot maximising safety and efficiency. - Ensure all drivers adhere to regular vehicle safety checks, and load restraint requirements. - Dangerous Goods Accreditation for handling, storage, and transport. - Manage vehicle maintenance and repairs. - Establishing safety protocols Training - Training in OH&S, warehouse safety, site inductions.
