We seek a self-managed and motivated person for a truck driver/labourer role.
Truck Driver/Labourer
We are a well-respected and rapidly growing business in the construction & engineering sectors. We specialise in structural steel & architectural metalwork for commercial & residential construction.
We seek a self-managed and motivated person for a truck driver/labourer role.
Key responsibilities
- Complete deliveries to customers and suppliers
- Work / drive in a safe manner.
- Load / unload trucks, with the use of overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Keep vehicle in good working order
- General duties around workshop including but not limited to: wire brushing, cutting, painting and stacking steel.
- Assist tradesmen with site installations.
Skills & Experience required:
- Must have a clean NSW MR truck licence.
- Must have a white card.
- Hiab experience preferred.
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
- Ability to multitask and solve complex problems under pressure.
- Must have a 'can do' positive attitude and be well presented.
- Must be physically fit to assist with loading / unloading truck and general duties around the the workshop.
- Adaptable approach to work, and must be willing to work hard in all areas of general labouring and assisting tradesmen.
- Must be willing to work long hours as needed.
Subcontractors welcome.
Immediate start.
Business located in South Strathfield.
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 /hour
