Our fleet has expanded and we are seeking experienced Long Distance Drivers for local and interstate trips.
Borg is an innovative and progressive manufacturer specialising in decorative building materials including melamine board, kitchen doors, components and bench tops. We provide a range of decorative surface products into the residential and commercial joinery markets throughout Australia. We boast a strong and ever growing team with over 1,400 current employees Australia-wide. Our manufacturing plants on the Central Coast of NSW, Sydney, Malaysia and Oberon service our extensive distribution footprint across Australia.
Due to the expansion of our fleet we are currently seeking experienced B-Double Drivers to join our team based at our Somersby Distribution Centre for local and interstate trips. These are full-time positions.
The majority of our local trips are round trips between our Somersby distribution centre and our Oberon manufacturing facility with a few bulk deliveries to our customers in Sydney. These trips can commence on either day or afternoon shift and will give you the opportunity to sleep in your own bed every night.
Our interstate MC team services our 15 distribution centres around the country with our major distribution centres being located in Somersby, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Oberon. Our interstate MC drivers can expect to be on the road for between 4 to 7 days each week with the trips covering our distribution network throughout the country. Our MC drivers enjoy competitive, above award trip rates.
The successful applicants must have:
- A current Multi Combination (MC) truck licence
- At least 2 years experience in an MC driving role
- Experience performing interstate trips
- An excellent driving record
- Good geographical knowledge
Basic Fatigue Management trained applicants are preferred.
We expect you to be a flexible and professional driver with a can do attitude who is customer and safety focussed.
As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a functional pre-employment medical examination which includes drug testing.
