We are seeking an HR Truck Driver, based in Sydney, NSW.
About the business and the role
We are a Family owned and operated business. We have a position open for a reliable and competent staff member who is a team player, has a good sense of humour and a can do attitude, that wants to work with a friendly group of people within a specialised Transport business based in Penrith.
The job entails driving a HR Tilt Tray, mainly transporting Containers and machinery across the Greater Western Sydney Metropolitan Area.
We do NOT transport Motor Vehicles.
Experience is preferred, however training will be provided for the right applicant.
Living in the local Penrith area would be an advantage.
We pay above award wages and overtime is available most weeks.
Uniforms and PPE gear is supplied.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Fulltime Position with a 3 month probation period.
You will be required to :
1.KEEP your Vehicle Clean, Neat and Tidy at all times.
2.Required to assist in general yard duties
3.Report any repairs required
4.Complete your time sheets and job records
5.Answer your phone when the boss calls.
Skills and experience
To be successful you Must have/be :
- A minimum of a Heavy Rigid (HR) License
- A minimum of 1-year truck driving experience preferred
- Living in the Penrith or surrounding areas
- Looking for long-term employment
- Drug & Alcohol-Free record
- A Good Driving History (print out required)
- Neat and Tidy appearance
- Honest, reliable, accountable and willing to work
Other Preferred:
- Tilt Tray experience
- Excellent knowledge of Greater Sydney Metropolitan Area
- Customer Service Skills, self-motivation and ability to assist others.
