Heavy Diesel Mechanic for Earthmoving and Stationery Plant
Gunther Civil began in 2011 by servicing the Pilbara region of Western Australia out of the Karratha office. After successfully delivering many civil projects throughout the Pilbara, Gunther Civil expanded its service region to include Newcastle and the Hunter Valley in New South Wales.In 2016, Gunther Civil Pty Ltd acquired Coolgarra Contracting and CK Quarries to further expand the companies’ capabilities as well as servicing Far North Queensland.
In this position you will take ownership over the maintenance and repairs of our mobile and stationery plant. This is not just spanner work as it will require coordinating and planning with other team members across multiple projects to minimise downtime of plant and maintaining backup equipment and spares. It is crucial that you have a keen eye for detail and the ability to self motivate to get the job done.
To be successful at this you role you will need:
Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualifications
Experience working with heavy earthmoving equipment
Dual trade in – Auto Electrical, A/C, Boilermaker, Machinist preferred
Welding and Oxy/Acetylene cutting
S1, S2, S3 preferred
Working at heights/Confined Spaces preferred
HR Drivers Licence
Commitment to and compliance with safety standards.
Ability to manage and direct apprentices and trade assistants when required.
