NGH Express is currently seeking an Experienced and Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join the team based in Melbourne and to lead and manage our current mechanics and mechanical operations.
Key responsibilities include –
· Strong knowledge and commitment to follow all OH&S policies & procedures;
· Supervise and manage Workshop employees including task allocation;
· Manage the maintenance, service and repair of company’s Lines fleet of 15 vehicles & trailers;
· Management of the Workshop budget;
· Strong knowledge of The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) and their standards;
· Trade qualified – Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (essential);
· Must have Multi Combination (MC) License;
· Ability to effectively supervise a small team;
· Ability to work unsupervised, show initiative and self-motivation whilst meeting workshop KPI’s;
· An understanding of the operational nature of the business and the requirement to meet deadlines to ensure fleet availability;
· Effective communication skills at all levels;
· Experience in Argosy, Volvo and Peterbilt Prime Movers & Trailers.
